Pray for Billy

Billy my soul-twin is ill with distressing and as yet undiagnosed symptoms. He faces uncomfortable and invasive tests. He finally told me last night after bearing the burden alone for a long time.

I’d noticed he was starting to fade and was unhappy and had thought it was the stock market chaos and other very challenging things in his life leading to stress. Now I think the stress of it all is causing things to go wrong inside him.

Makes my troubles seem small indeed and me so very shallow for worrying him about them!

Please pray for him to find a gentler and happier place in life and for this dreadful medical condition to disappear on its own.

Thank you ……    C :-(

  1. I am praying for him. A better position and healing to him, and comfort for you too.

  2. Thank you M - we do appreciate your prayers big time. We've been researching his condition and there seems to be a solution of sorts, albeit after some tough tests. It's hard to see my hero suffering so much! C

  3. Candice, I'm terribly sorry to hear of your friend Billy's serious illness. I hope and pray that things will go well for him and he will get through this OK. Having good friends definitely helps to give a person the courage to face some hard challenges, so he is fortunate to have you for a friend.

  4. Eric - thank you for your support (also thankyou M). It means a lot to us and I feel we've made some progress today. Another friend, Neville, who has gone through a lot too in the last few years, intervened by researching and providing a summary of options. Billy had been too scared to even research and I was getting very upset. Things could still be very grim - but I feel God has provided a solution and we just have to reach out and get it. I'll go with him for the worst and most definitive test and I'll support through the required life style changes. Meanwhile, a number of wise men, including Neville will offer their valuable advice on matters of which I know little and intervene as required to calm things down. We are all so blessed to have good friends. Please keep praying for us. Thank you C :-)

  5. An update - Billy and I went out to free jazz at QPAC on Friday night. He was not having a good day due to his condition, but was mentally fine - positive and happy. Support from friends has been important and I told him you guys are praying for him and he appreciated and liked that. He's reached a stage where he can research and talk about his symptoms - which I feel is very positive. I feel there are gaps in the medical advice he has received and have offered to introduce him to my doctor (Dr Dan). Thanks :-) C

  8. YAY!!!! Very GOOD NEWS. After many earnest prayers and waiting for months for an appointment for the horrid test and then weeks for the results (he had time to save a few people from various floods) Billy's diagnosis has been delivered. I am sure it's been a miracle - I prayed for a trivial medical condition that would either dissappear or be cured with simple everyday things. And YES - it is indeed a trivial medical condition and YES diet and behaviour change will cure it. Thank you all for your prayers, they have been answered. My hero is feeling a lot better and we look forward to many more years of being stubborn and heroic. I'll post another comment when he's declared finally cured!!! Should be 3 months time. :-) C
